Lighthouse Physical Therapy is magic! I’m a competitive gymnast who practices 20+ hours per week and, at times, my body takes a pounding. I’ve challenged Lighthouse Physical Therapy with many different issues over the years, including pinched nerves, sprains, strains, shin splints, and more. Fortunately for me, Lighthouse Physical Therapy has consistently been able to get to the root of my pain and treat the true cause, putting me back in the gym quickly! Lighthouse Physical Therapy is an important part of my team!”

“Six weeks after suffering from a concussion, Drew was still complaining of terrible headaches, dizziness, and anxiety. He had to discontinue all activities including running, jumping, kickball, basketball and baseball and was having difficulty in school.
We found Lighthouse PT and he began to feel results after his first treatment. After only 5 visits, Drew’s symptoms subsided and he was able to return to playing baseball.”

“I came to Lighthouse with a diagnosis of scoliosis with a degree of +45 %. My orthopedic told me I should be prepared for potential surgery the following summer. I am ecstatic to report that the surgeon has now declined the surgery option and has been very pleased with my progress under Lighthouses’ care. I have also been seen for a winged scapula, broken ankle, sprained ankle, mild concussion and they been terrific at fixing me up so I can continue doing what I love… gymnastics!!.”

“I have been seen for many different issues over the years. The most significant improvement I have made is the elimination of 20 years of chronic pain at L4/L5 without pharmaceuticals or surgery. I am back to running, cycling, golf and skiing. In addition Lighthouse PT has eradicated severe acid-reflux, reduced post-concussive systems, and reduced hip pain by increasing mobility & strength, which has allowed me to avoid recommended hip-replacement. Happy to be functioning at a higher level, I couldn’t have done this without you.”

“I’ve had foot & ankle problems my entire life. Following reconstructive surgery to fix my flat feet scar tissue began to form making it very painful to do anything. I went to traditional therapy but it only made the pain worse. Coming to Lighthouse PT helped my foot regain movement and reduce the pain. I am walking with better movement and pain free. Thank you Lighthouse!”

After my heel / Achilles tendon surgery I used the in house Physical Therapists at my surgeons office. This gave me some minor relief and flexibility. I mentioned that I was having other issues because of having to limp for so long before the surgery, I was answered with a shoulder shrug. I decided to change to Lighthouse PT. One of the best decisions I ever made. The Therapists there care, listen and have helped me with any issue I brought up. My repaired leg is feeling great! I now walk without a limp and I’m back in the river, where I belong!”

I coach gymnastics for a living and need to be able to demonstrate, spot, dance, squat down, and maneuver large pieces of equipment. I had surgery on my knee to remove two large meniscus tears and I was discouraged with my progress in healing after five weeks of traditional physical therapy. I had regained strength, but I was not able to bend or straighten my leg all the way. I was also unable to walk any distance or participate in my usual yoga classes. I was feeling pretty depressed as my usually active lifestyle had been altered dramatically. During my first appointment with Lighthouse Physical Therapy, I could feel the effects of the treatment immediately. I experienced an unbearable ache for a few moments while Dave was working, and then a huge relief, as the ache felt like it moved through my knee and out of my leg. Along with the pain relief, the movement of my knee was much smoother and the swelling had decreased. After my second appointment I gained another few inches in my range of motion. Dave set me on a path of healing that moved my recovery along much faster, and more effectively than the path I had been on. After a few more visits, I am now back on track. I’m coaching at almost full capacity and I’ve resumed walking for exercise and practicing yoga. My orthopedic doctor was thrilled with my progress when I had my last check up.

I went to see Dave because my heart rate was faster than normal during my sports. My heart rate would go up to 180bpm while in the middle of a soccer game at least 10 times a game. I was so worried about it that I couldn’t play well. Dave worked on my neck and my collar bone area and even though it didn’t feel like much at the time, what he did was like magic. The next game I played in, I only had two episodes. The other side effect was he fixed my sweaty hands! I always have clammy, sweaty hands and they are so much drier now! Dave said that he worked on parts of my sympathetic nervous system and that had some effect on both problems I was having. I’ve seen Dave for ankle sprains as well and each time I went in I could not walk because of the swelling and pain. Each time I walked out the swelling had decreased and the pain was much more tolerable. Because I saw Dave, I was able to get back to my sports much sooner.
