Mary Graff, PT

My passion for Physical Therapy started in high school when I volunteered at the local VA hospital in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. From that point forward, I knew that I wanted to become a physical therapist.  I joined the Air Force and worked in the medical field after high school as part of my plan to become a physical therapist.

I left the Air Force to start my undergraduate work in physical therapy at the University of New England, in Biddeford, Maine. During my freshman year, I was called back to active duty to support Operation Desert Storm and deployed to Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas.  After being released from active duty, I resumed my education at UNE, graduating in 1994.  Because of my husband’s career, I worked in California, and Oklahoma until finally settling in Dover, New Hampshire.  My first exposure in manual therapy was working with Mrs. Claire Dubois of Seacoast Physical Therapy in Dover.  I met Dave Burchuck around 2000, through integrative manual therapy (IMT) classes and have enjoyed a close friendship and working relationship with him for nearly 20 years. Because of my training in IMT, I have a strong interest in treating clients with pelvic pain, incontinence (both male and female), balance and fall prevention and Parkinsonism (I am certified in BIG portion of BIG/LOUD).  I am well-versed in surgical orthopedic and acute orthopedic recovery protocols. I am passionate about supporting military members and their families (active and veteran).

I have been blessed with six children and a supportive husband.   I enjoy healthy lifestyle activities, like fitness, including recently learning to swim and participating in mini-marathons and mini-triathlons.  I plan on participating in my first open-water swim this summer in support of Veterans’ Count-Swim with the Mission. I also volunteer in Youth Ministry at my church.
