Knee Pain
“I have eliminated the need to wear a knee brace when doing any physical activity. My body feels more in alignment. The comprehensive, total wellness approach of Lighthouse PT has given me increased mobility, decreased pain and restored physical ability. I was able to get back to my favorite activity without pain! Because of the therapy I received I was able to run a half marathon, where just a month previous my knee hurt so badly I could hardly walk. I always use Lighthouse for my PT needs from Vertigo to joint pain, they have helped on the road to recovery.”

Common conditions we treat include:
• ACL Injuries
• Meniscus Injuries
• ITB Syndrome
• Swelling
• Patella-Femoral Pain Syndrome
I coach gymnastics for a living and need to be able to demonstrate, spot, dance, squat down, and maneuver large pieces of equipment. I had surgery on my knee to remove two large meniscus tears and I was discouraged with my progress in healing after five weeks of traditional physical therapy. I had regained strength, but I was not able to bend or straighten my leg all the way. I was also unable to walk any distance or participate in my usual yoga classes. I was feeling pretty depressed as my usually active lifestyle had been altered dramatically. During my first appointment with Lighthouse Physical Therapy, I could feel the effects of the treatment immediately. I experienced an unbearable ache for a few moments while Dave was working, and then a huge relief, as the ache felt like it moved through my knee and out of my leg. Along with the pain relief, the movement of my knee was much smoother and the swelling had decreased. After my second appointment I gained another few inches in my range of motion. Dave set me on a path of healing that moved my recovery along much faster, and more effectively than the path I had been on. After a few more visits, I am now back on track. I’m coaching at almost full capacity and I’ve resumed walking for exercise and practicing yoga. My orthopedic doctor was thrilled with my progress when I had my last check up.
